‘Lé Marchi Nouormand’ Norman French Market

Gorgeous weather, the weekend vibe, along with an empty basket, this morning we went to explore the French Market in St Helier.

Before long we were laden with a rather large selection of Cheeses, Duck Rillette, and those delicious white french peaches.

There were homemade crêpes and patisseries, honey and jams, charcuterie along with provencal fabrics typical of any good Sunday market in France.

Peaches galore

Sipping delicious dry Normandy cider, we just had to have a glass to accompany a large baguette and sausage, in the sun, beats the usual Saturday dash to the supermarket. I even found these baskets, perfect for keeping my Jersey Royal potatoes in!
